Multi-hazard risk assessment services typically focus on hurricane and earthquake hazards, but also examine the widest possible range of hazards, both natural and human-induced--from those leading to catastrophic damage to subtler risk that result in business interruption or incremental loss of function or value.
Our assessment includes loss analysis of buildings, contents, and off-site factors such as power, water, communications and supply chain function. We develop mitigation measures and perform cost-benefit analysis, comparing the cost of mitigation measures with the reduction in potential loss.
Our multi-hazard risk assessment services cover risk associated with hurricanes and other extreme wind events, earthquakes, floods, and terrorism. We routinely conduct probable maximum loss (PML) studies to assist with decisions related to insurance coverage, for single properties or portfolios. Inputs to our PML, using state-of-the-art risk models, include data from field observations at site visits.
